Allgaeu is a region on the most southern side of the Germany boarder
(to Austria) and at the same time the most southern western point of Bavaria.

Here is an excellent base for excursions to nearby Oberammergau (35 km),
Garmisch-Partenkirchen (50 km), Munich (100 km), Lindau on lake
Constance (110 km) and some Austrian cities like Innsbruck (100 km).
The third castle of Ludwig II. called Linderhof castle is also very near
from our hotel (50 km)

Our village Schwangau lies close to the southern-most point of Germany's
famous Romantic Road and is considered by many as its highlight.

The beautiful Allgaeu land is extended from Bodensee (Lake Constance) to the Bavarian Alps! Neuschwanstein castle , the famous castle is in the east of Allgaeu and is the most famous sightseeing building in this region.
