Welcome to the land of the lakes, mountains and castles, the Allgaeu.

Th eAllgaeu is situated at the most southern side of the Germany boarder (to Austria) and at the same time the most south-western point of Bavaria.

Here is an excellent base for excursions to nearby Oberammergau (35 km), Garmisch-Partenkirchen (50 km), Munich (100 km), Lindau on lake Constance (110 km) and some Austrian cities like Innsbruck (100 km). The third castle of Ludwig II. called Linderhof castle is also very close to our hotel (50 km)

Our village Schwangau lies closely to the southernmost point of Germany's famous Romantic Road and is considered by many as its highlight.

The beautiful Allgaeu coutryside runs from Bodensee (Lake Constance) to the Bavarian Alps!

The world famous Neuschwanstein castle is located at the east of Allgaeu and is one of the most well-known sights of this region.
