"Griaß Di", as the locals say, and welcome to our Rohrkopfhütte mountain hut! At an altitude of 1,320 metres, we extend you a hearty welcome you in the midst of the most beautiful mountains of the Allgäu. Up here the view from the Rohrkopf sweeps over the Tegelberg across to the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. A great hiking destination directly on the Schutzengelweg with fine cuisine and great company! What can we bring you? A cool beer and a portion of Kässpatzn? Or would you prefer Kaiserschmarrn? On our panorama terrace you can experience Bavaria from its most welcoming side - the perfect stop after an adventurous hike or picturesque skiing tours!

Christmas holidays: Closed on December 24, then open continuously until January 11, 2026.
There is no overnight accommodation at the Rohrkopfhütte and we are not accessible by car. The three-kilometre ascent takes approx. 1 to 1.5 hours on foot with an elevation gain of 500 m - stout footwear is essential.
