Environmentally conscious - and not just since yesterday
We are part of the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact!
At Hotel Das Rübezahl, environmental awareness is a way of life. Not just since it became “trendy,” but for generations. Otherwise, this boutique hotel wouldn’t have been around since 1959. For three generations, the Thurm family has taken a long-term view in many ways: they’ve conserved energy, sourced locally, built in a resource-efficient manner, cared for their loyal hotel guests, treated their long-time employees with respect, and maintained a collegial relationship with the local community. They’ve simply looked out for one another, taken responsibility, and supported each other. These remain the cornerstones of the family’s philosophy to this day.
That is why we are very pleased to be an official participant in the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact. This award is presented by the Bavarian State Government to companies that commit to measurable and voluntary environmental protection.
