They never stop smiling and always have yet another insider tip at the ready: your hosts - the Thurm family. Das Rübezahl isn’t just a job - it’s a life’s work for Erhard, Giselle and junior manager Alexander Thurm. In other words: it’s their their baby! Did you know that Erhard Thurm was even born in the hotel? Das Rübezahl was opened by his parents as an inn and guesthouse in 1959. Add a lot of love for guests and plenty of new ideas, and the place developed into a real insider tip for holidays in the Allgäu region.
Alexander has been working hand in hand with his parents since 2020. Giselle and Erhard bring their many years of experience to the table, as does son Alexander: he grew up in the midst of the hotel hustle and bustle and has been bringing a breath of fresh air to the hotel since 2020 - with a pipeline of new plans ready to go.
